Wedding photography is something I’m lucky to have found my purpose in. Sometime’s we take for granted certain thing’s in life and we don’t take a step back and realize certain thing’s until they actually happen. Like this shot for instance. When I started brainstorming for Megan’s engagement shoot, I remember her telling me that her soon to be husband was a firefighter. I remember us thinking what can we incorporate to show something different and we came up with this idea. When I first arriving to the station, I started noticing that I was in Parkland, FL. It was eerie, because I know it was the town where the tragedy happened last year at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. During the shoot, I started noticing the MSD strong on their truck, and that’s when I asked “Hey Kev, was this the station that responded to the tragedy?” He let me know it was. I instantly got goosebumps at that moment. It’s crazy how small the world is, and how we get connected. I have a lot of respect for our first responder’s and what they endure on a daily basis. They save live’s and I honestly feel they don’t get enough credit for what they do. I want to thank all the first responders for everything they do.
