If you're looking for a Coconut Grove wedding photographer, you're in the right place. The Grove is one of my favorite parts of Miami to photograph a wedding, with its huge oak trees, bay views and historic architecture that feels a world away from the city.
As a Miami wedding photographer, Coconut Grove is one of my favorite neighborhoods to shoot, and this guide covers the venues and photo spots I love most there.
This guide covers the neighborhood, my favorite Coconut Grove wedding venues, real weddings and tips for your day.
About Coconut Grove
Coconut Grove is often called Miami's oldest neighborhood. It's home to landmarks like The Barnacle, built in 1891 by Ralph Munroe, and Peacock Park, named for the family whose Bay View House was Miami's first hotel. Today it mixes bayfront parks, a lush tree canopy and some of Miami's most beautiful event venues.

Mayfair House Hotel & Garden
The Mayfair House first opened in 1985 and reopened in 2022 after a major renovation. Its garden courtyard, terraces and stylish suites make it a great choice for couples who want to get ready, say their vows and celebrate without ever leaving the hotel. I photographed Monique & Juan's timeless, stylish wedding there.
Location: 3000 Florida Ave, Coconut Grove, FL 33133
Getting Ready
The suites have beautiful window light, green walls and balconies, which make getting-ready photos feel editorial from the very first frame.

Ceremony and Reception
From an aisle framed by an arched window to candlelit tables and a packed dance floor, the Mayfair House photographs elegantly from start to finish.

Villa Woodbine
Just down Bayshore Drive, Villa Woodbine is a 1931 Mediterranean Revival estate with arched doors, a courtyard and an oak garden that turns magical under string lights. I've photographed two full weddings there, and I put everything you need to know in my Villa Woodbine wedding guide.

Tips for Your Coconut Grove Wedding Photos
Get ready on site. Getting ready at your venue or a nearby hotel saves time and keeps your timeline relaxed.
Use the tree canopy. The Grove's oaks and shade give soft light even in the middle of the day.
Protect golden hour. Save 15 to 20 minutes around sunset for couple portraits.
Plan for traffic and parking. Weekend evenings in the Grove get busy, so build in buffer time for vendors and guests.
Have a rain plan. Ask your venue about indoor or tented options for Miami's summer storms.
